We pursue investments from R50 million to R500 million. We seek to gain control and in instances where not possible, we would require a significant influence with minority shareholding protections. The manager’s strategy is to leverage its business networks including members of the board to source a large number of potential investment opportunities, and then to select the best – the ones that provide exceptional potential for earnings for the least amount of risk.
The fund intends to acquire stakes and investment opportunities in well run South African or multinational companies that are looking to exit their investments, achieve liquidity, and where owner managed businesses are looking for expansion capital that brings with it BEE credentials and private equity skills.
